8 YR. OLD AUTISTIC BOY FOUND ALIVE AFTER 6 DAYS
8 Yr. Old Autistic Boy Found Alive After 6 Days!!
Nancy Detweiler
On this most sacred day, a non-verbal little autistic boy brought elation to the Central Virginia area. 6 days ago, while in a wooded park, Robbie wandered away from the others. He was wearing a shirt and pants suitable for the warm weather.
The community immediately came together to find Robbie. Thousands of volunteers participated in a well organized search, with others volunteering to feed the searchers, and a group holding a prayer vigil each night. Even a woman visiting the area from Alaska volunteered to help search for Robbie.
The weather changed from warm to temperatures in the 40s. Today it is sleeting and snow is falling in the higher elevations. The searchers knew they must find Robbie today. He had no food, no water, and no means of staying warm. All week, residents in Central Virginia went to bed thinking of Robbie alone and lost in the dark and cold … we woke up and immediately sought information on Robbie. The area must have been glowing with the number of prayers being said for Robbie.
The search for Robbie was complicated by thick, often thorny brush. One volunteer said he walked through thorny brush standing above his head. Even though the volunteers were searching in teams, they often could not see each other for the brush. They were also concerned that their approach not frighten Robbie as they did not know how he would respond. Being non-verbal, Robbie could not call out if he heard sounds.
Robbie was found around 2 PM today—the 6th day! He was awake, alert, and in good condition. Men accustomed to firefighting, the armed services, and police work described the experience of finding Robbie as the best thing that ever happened to them. Tears stood in their eyes. They had been unable to sleep for 5 nights. Tonight, they would sleep well.
In Carytown, a village of small shops on the outskirts of downtown Richmond, the news spread like wildfire. With tears and smiles, people shared the good news with everyone they met. Even a Richmond Magazine staffer called one of the shop keepers to give her the news.
Robbie was taken to the hospital where doctors say he appears to be in good condition. When his Mother walked into the room, he gave her a big smile.
The Central Virginia news media stood by Robbie and his family throughout the ordeal. Today, Robbie has been the topic of news for hours! Everyone is rejoicing!
Instead of a nightly prayer vigil for Robbie, tonight there will be a celebration in the same spot.
Central Virginia is illuminated with the Unity Consciousness that a little boy created. Children entering physical incarnation since the 1980s are here to Be Light, to Be Love. Robbie has certainly fulfilled his mission! His plight brought together an entire area determined to find Robbie alive and well. Tonight, Central Virginia knows what it is like to join hands and together accomplish the seemingly impossible!
Thank you, God!
