The Power of Law/Order

The 9th quality required for us to achieve higher consciousness is Law/Order.
Quoting Fillmore: "Divine Law is the logical process by which divine principle, or God, manifests. The inner spirit of the law is the spiritual way of life that Jesus taught and lived. Divine Law is the universal something in us of which we all are conscious, and tells us when we are doing right and when we are doing wrong. It may be defined as the innate knowing of right and wrong and this knowing may be quickened. The quickening does not come by the study of material things, but by concentrating the mind on the Christ. MAN DOES NOT MAKE THE LAW; THE LAW IS, AND IT WAS ESTABLISHED FOR OUR BENEFIT BEFORE THE WORLD WAS FORMED."
Quoting Fillmore: There is a law of spiritual and mental growth constantly at work in the mind, raising man from sense consciousness to spiritual consciousness. The nature of the universe is purity and goodness. Abiding in the Christ [Love] Consciousness [or Higher Consciousness], man aligns himself with divine law. He becomes 'the light of the world'.... Divine Law cannot be broken. It holds man responsible for the result of his labors."
Divine Laws are Universal Laws ... they are in effect throughout the cosmos ... they are unchanging. We can depend upon Divine Law to unfold ... there is no guess work, no begging. The Apostle Paul affirmed this constancy of Divine Law in Galatians 6:7 --- "Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow." This Law is easily understood on the mundane level: if we plant green beans in our garden, we will absolutely harvest green beans --- not tomatoes or pansies. Likewise, if we plant acts of kindness, we will reap acts of kindness. If we plant worry seeds, we will harvest events in our lives that match the source of our worry.
On the night he was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, one of Jesus' disciples drew his sword and cut off the ear of one of the high priest's slaves. Jesus rebuked the disciple, "Put your sword back into its place; for all who take the sword will perish by the sword." (Matthew 26:52) It is not God punishing us when we reap what we have sown; instead, it is the unfolding of Divine Law made known to humankind through the sacred texts.
Another Divine (or Universal) Law is: "Give, and it will given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap, for the measure you give will be the measure you get back." (Luke 6:38)
The Beatitudes are examples of Divine Law. Note the formula: If you are this ... or do that, then ... the result will be this---"Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy." There is no guess work, no tricks in the unfolding of Divine Law. Divine Law is absolute law created by a God of absolute Love.
Humanity has made God into our own image ... we preach an unforgiving God when we preach hellfire and damnation. We preach a bloodthirsty God when we preach that God required a blood sacrifice in order to forgive humanity. We preach a remote God when we preach separation from God. We preach a violent, uncaring God when we preach God is on this side or that side during times of war. We preach a partial God when we preach a God who shows partiality to some races or religions. It is no wonder our world is in such a huge mess ... we respond to life's events in accordance with our concepts of God. We have it all wrong!
The quality of Law/Order is one of the least developed qualities of humankind. We have lived our lives unconsciously ... simply following those we consider authorities ... worshiping Jesus instead of obeying his commandment to us---"The one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, WILL DO GREATER WORKS THAN THESE, because I am going to the Father." (John 14:12) Remember, Jesus states repeatedly in the Gospel of John, that "I have not spoken on my own, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment about what to say and what to speak." (John 12:49) Remembering that Jesus channeled the Father's words ... that what he spoke was the Father within him speaking ... removes the focus off Jesus and places it on God. When Jesus says, "I am the light of the world ... I am the bread of life ... I am the resurrection and life ... he is speaking for the Father. Jesus came to teach us, to show us the Way of Love. "Then Jesus answered them, 'MY TEACHING IS NOT MINE, BUT HIS WHO SENT ME.'" (John 7:16)
Study the illustration of your Divine Self below. Jesus taught: "I declare what I have seen in the Father's presence; AS FOR YOU, YOU SHOULD DO WHAT YOU HAVE HEARD FROM THE FATHER." (John 8:38) The illustration of an enlightened individual below is best suited for Jesus ... he lives within the presence of the Father, thus his statement "I declare what I have seen in the Father's presence."
Divine Self The Enlightened One
We listen to the Father (the top figure) >>> through our Intuitive Mind (2nd figure) and the channel of light extending from the Father (or God dwelling within us) through our Intuitive/Higher Mind and >>> into our physical brain/intellect (bottom figure). This channel of communication within each of us is another Divine Law. It is ever-present within us, whether or not we choose to use it. As Jesus taught: "Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock and the door will be opened for you." (Luke 11:9)
Developing the quality of Law/Order means learning that we are never alone ... we are never separated from God ... we are always loved ... God's Law was created so that His Children could experience All Good ... Divine Law never changes---we always reap what we sow.
Quoting TWELVE POWERS IN YOU: "Order [or Law] is my ability to know what is important and to put my life in order. I begin to put 'first things first.' I seek first the kingdom of heaven (spiritual consciousness and values) and then I add all things unto this. I put God first. Order helps me to establish and maintain worthy personal and social priorities.... We need to 'put our own house in order' ... to establish a divine order of what and who is really important.... The Plan is for us to express our divine potential for a full life in all ways. That's our destiny or evolutionary goal. These are the marching orders that we receive from our Father-Mother Creator. We are free, and yet there is an evolutionary urge in us that calls us to keep moving forward individually and as a species to a spiritual fulfillment of shared abundance, health, and peace."
AFFIRMATION: “My house is set in order, and I press forward toward the goal of perfection.”
---Fillmore, LET’S KEEP A TRUE LENT
In Jesus' words: "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)
