LIGHTWORKERS AS CITIZENS Nancy B. Detweiler
(The following information is not limited to citizens of the United States. All nations are to be transformed. I speak of the U.S., in particular, because I reside there. In Truth, Lightworkers are Citizens of Planet Earth. We work for the planet by serving at home and aboard. Citizens of nations, other than the U.S., can tailor the ideas presented here to the needs of their particular country.) Creating a 5th dimensional society will require that all Lightworkers be involved as citizens of a nation. Our task is to build a galactic type planetary society that resonates with the 5th dimensional plane of consciousness. We will accomplish this goal with the support and guidance of our galactic family. Participating in the transformation of all Earth nations is a major means by which we perform the loving service to others that qualifies us, as individuals, to achieve our own ascension. Knowledge of the basic characteristics of a galactic society provides us guidelines for the renovation and lifting up of planet Earth. A few of the basic characteristics are listed below.

The Galactic Federation of Light and the Ascended Masters are presently with us. We may communicate with them telepathically at any time. Even if we feel we are not yet telepathic, we can ask for their guidance and assistance. They hear us and respond. We may experience their response as an idea that pops into our minds … a sudden urge to perform a specific action … a book falling off the shelf in front of us. There are myriad ways for them to answer our requests. Just be alert, open, and willing to follow through with the idea presented.Earth humans have a lot of work to perform—in conjunction with the Galactic Federation of Light and the Ascended Masters—in order to create a galactic culture on this planet. We chose to incarnate, during this transitional period, in order to assist in this momentous endeavor. We are the privileged ones! We are here to witness events that have never—in this solar system’s history—taken place on Earth. We are present because we were awarded this unheard of opportunity to move forward in our spiritual evolution. Let us give thanks … roll up our sleeves … and get busy! ************* We cannot create a galactic society by using 3rd dimensional techniques that are based on greed, competition, separation, or categories of various kinds created to pit us against each other rather than bring us together in cooperative efforts. We must lay down our prejudices, cease clinging to our old belief systems, and overcome our propensity to resist change. In other words, we must affirm: "I choose to walk on the pathway to ascension. I release all known obstacles to my successfully treading this path and henceforth intend to work within the energies of love for all persons." We cannot create a galactic society with our present level of education regarding every facet of our lives. Living on 3rd dimension means we have lived within illusion. Life is not what we think it is. Our planet is not what we think it is. The cosmos in which we live is not what we think it is. Human beings are not what most think they are. In order to create a galactic society, we must be willing to admit our lack of education, our lack of knowledge, and most of all, our lack of wisdom is how to create a culture that allows every individual to blossom into all that we are. Thus, the prerequisite for creating a galactic society is that we lift our consciousness from 3rd to 5th dimension. As Einstein said, "No problem can be solved at the level at which it exists." Instead, we must tap into our Higher Mind, intuitive powers, and creative capacity. We must covenant with one another, the Galactic Federation of Light, and the Ascended Masters, to be willing, diligent students of the wisdom that has been hidden from Earth humans for eons of time. We must re-write many books; re-organize our governmental systems; crack open our frozen religious doctrines and enable them to be permeated with Universal Truth; re-create our educational systems to include a focus on the mind, body, and spirit of every child; and develop peaceful, loving ways to live together as a planetary family committed to fulfilling God’s divine plan on Earth. America has a unique destiny that is vastly different from the country we
know today. As the 3rd dimensional America crumbles, the divine plan for this
nation is simultaneously unfolding. Lightworker Citizens may be inspired to join

Each of us must select the area/areas in which we possess the most interest and expertise: government, international relations, constitutional law, peace, education, religion, media, corporations, research, writing, photography, painting, ad infinitum. The list of potential vocations/endeavors/humanitarian activities is endless. But, in order to build a galactic society, all must focus on creating a culture of love, peace, prosperity, joyful self-blossoming, and justice for every inhabitant on Earth. The following are examples of actions ALL CITIZENS can and must take in order for us to structure a government that is truly "of the people, by the people, for the people." 2009 NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION FOR AMERICAN CITIZENS We resolve to put aside our differences and work together in harmony to recreate our crumbling nation and to restore to all its citizens the inalienable rights enumerated in our Constitution. Americans Have Lost Their Way Nancy B. Detweiler Americans talk a lot about democracy. We call ourselves citizens of a democratic form of government; we say we are spreading democracy around the world. But, what does democracy mean? Webster’s Law Dictionary, 1996 defines democracy as "government by the people, especially rule of the majority …. Supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representatives usually involving periodically held free elections." Three factors stand out in this definition of democracy. First and foremost, the absence of any mention of the law. Second, the rule of majority stands without limitations, thereby opening the door to rule by the mob or by an emotion like fear. Third, free elections are usually held. As part of a legal definition, the presence of the word "usually" is significant. "Usually" leaves room for no free elections. In contrast to a democracy, Webster’s Law Dictionary, 1996 defines a republic as a "government having a chief of state who is not a monarch and in modern times is usually a president …. Power resides in a body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by elected officers and representatives responsible to them and governing according to law." A republic is government based on law. The head of state is not to be a monarch. Power resides with those citizens who are qualified to vote and the duly elected representatives are to be held responsible for their actions by those citizens. By inference, the definition of a republic requires continual involvement of those citizens qualified to vote. How else can the representatives be held accountable? The founding Fathers of America created a republic based on the principles set forth in the Declaration of Independence: "We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness." Our founding documents—Federal Constitution and Bill of Rights—reveal the laws by which our inalienable rights are to be guaranteed. (Black’s Law Dictionary defines inalienable rights as those rights that "cannot be transferred or surrendered," our inherent rights.) Article I, Section 1 of the 1971 Constitution of Virginia reiterates these inalienable rights. "That all men are by nature equally free and independent and have certain inherent rights, of which, when they enter into a state of society, they cannot, by any compact, deprive or divest their posterity; namely the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety." By concentrating on democracy, Americans have lost their way. Wake up, Americans! We have allowed our nation’s constitution to be trampled into the ground … we have allowed monarchical rule … we have allowed our inalienable rights to be taken from us … we have allowed our governing bodies to fool us into thinking our nation—United States of America—was created to be a democracy … we have allowed corruption to infiltrate and render rotten every part of our society. Our nation is crumbling and Americans have allowed it. Wake up, Americans! We have lost our way!

Seldom have stakes been higher in the history of this nation for registered, legal citizens to make a choice regarding who will lead America from the brink of destruction to her destined role as Keeper of the Flame of Freedom and Light for the entire world. America – whose anagram "I AM Race" invokes a special relationship with the eternal source of truth and light, the Mighty I AM Presence – has been dragged from her lofty pinnacle of Wayshower to the depths of deceit, calumny, callousness and guile by an administration desirous of trampling other nations into extinction. And for what? From all appearances the answer is theft of oil belonging to Middle East nations – certainly not for use by American citizens but rather for the enrichment of corporations and a small clique of elite warmongers. What have Americans gained from this war venture? Zero. Zilch. Nada. What has America lost in this misadventure? The lives of almost 4,000 servicemen and women, the lives of more than 1 million Iraqis, the profligate loss of more than 2 trillion dollars consumed in Iraq, and billions more in Afghanistan. What’s worse is the loss of many fundamental rights granted thru the Bill of Rights and Constitution. We have lost reputation, admiration, and love from many around the world who mourn our stupendous, mind-numbing fall from grace. We have lost stature and status and are observed from abroad thru contemptuous eyes. We are economically destroyed, our Treasury so completely spent we find ourselves hat in hand asking China, Japan, Europe, and the Middle East for loans to bail us out. We have no resources to rebuild a failing infrastructure and no funds to allocate to societal obligations such as the rebuilding of homes and lives in New Orleans, or roads, bridges, community centers, clinics, and schools throughout America. All to what purpose, exactly? Certainly not to rid the world of Al-Qaeda terrorists. The 911 terrorists purportedly came from Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan, not Iraq. Certainly not to rid the world of weapons of mass destruction controlled by "mad man" Saddam Hussein. None were found. Certainly not to ease the burdens of the cost of oil to Americans. Oil prices have climbed steadily since the war began. To quote CNN, "Exxon also set an annual profit record by earning $40.61 billion last year - or nearly $1,300 per second in 2007. That exceeded its previous record of $39.5 billion in 2006." And you, dear fellow American, what price did you pay for gas at the pump last year? What price are you paying for heating oil this winter? It is increasingly difficult to discern the light in the midst of such darkness. Can anyone selected to run for high office be trusted, given the fact that powerful elite groups behind the scenes choose their male or female pawn long before any citizen gets a chance to cast a vote in what is likely a rigged process? This truth of "no choice" is clearly evident in this year’s primaries, where support for individuals of conscience in both parties (Ron Paul for the Republicans and Dennis Kucinich for the Democrats) are discounted and derailed in their campaigns before our eyes. Kucinich has since dropped out and Paul remains as background noise in the Republican contest, tolerated solely because he has the funds to stay in the race. It is likely both men suffered from vote count irregularities that helped to marginalize them as candidates. So, what’s a thinking, feeling, engaged American to do? Watch the process closely. Believe there is more to the process than meets the eye. Pray for guidance that the reality hidden behind the posturing and buried beneath the media circus may be revealed. Listen closely to the words spoken by candidates throughout this campaign to determine which one has the greatest heart and fewest contaminants. It may not be the one you originally thought you would select for the highest office in the land but may nonetheless prove the best for America in the long run. Much will likely be revealed between now and the November election. Use this knowledge to assist you in making your decision. And when you finally have made your decision cast your vote -- with a prayer to the Most High that it is the vote that will return this country from the grasp of tyranny back into service of America and the world.
TRANSFORMING THE WAY WE VOTE Nancy B. Detweiler All Americans need to re-think the ways by which we participate in our constitutional republic with its government of the people, by the people, for the people. (Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address) American citizens are the true governing body of this republic; our elected officials are our employees, paid—by us—to carry out the citizens’ mandates. In order to maintain a constitutional republic in which all human beings are granted their inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, every citizen has the responsibility to supervise our government. We must hold our elected officials accountable to us. With this responsibility in mind, how might we transform the way we vote to reflect acceptance of our constitutional role as members of this nation’s governing body? Step out of the boxes that categorize us as democrats, republicans, independents, conservative, liberal, … ad infinitum. These boxes separate us and cause us to compete rather than cooperate for the common good. To remain in these boxes is to govern our nation much like a football game is refereed. The political machines/pundits call the shots and we cheer or moan. Study our federal and state constitutions, Bill of Rights, and the Declaration of Independence to determine both our responsibilities and inalienable rights as citizens of a nation and state. A few examples to be found are: "We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness—That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these Ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its Foundation on such Principles, and organizing its Powers in such Form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness … when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future Security." ----The Declaration of Independence "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution of the United States of America." ----Constitution of the United States of America NOTE: The Bill of Rights Amendments to the Constitution were created in order to "[extend] the ground of public confidence in the Government [and] best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution." "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the rights of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." ----Constitution of the United States, Amendment I "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." ----Constitution of the United States, Amendment IV NOTE: The Virginia State Constitution served as a guide for the creation of many of the remaining state constitutions, thus the relevance of its words for all American citizens. We must vote for those persons who have uppermost in their minds the good of all Americans, not just those with power and wealth. Seek out and vote for those candidates who demonstrate not only a vision for the good of all, but also the techniques to bring that vision into fruition. Many candidates can speak compelling words; few believe them or follow through on them. www.vote-smart.org is an excellent citizens’ operated website providing extensive research on the candidates. Think outside the box. Our present governmental system is broken. We need in-depth changes based on the systemic causes of our societal and governmental problems, not additional bandages stuck haphazardly onto the status quo. Seek those candidates who have the courage to work for substantive, meaningful changes. Voting a straight party ticket is to vote blindly and irresponsibly. The Constitution of the United States makes no provision for party affiliations. Seek education toward a better understanding of the true nature of our society and government. Howard Zinn’s A PEOPLE’S HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES could wisely be considered a primer for this type of education. Be alert to ways by which Americans are manipulated and controlled. Zinn’s book is enlightening in these areas. All 688 pages confirm Zinn’s statement: "The American system is the most ingenious system of control in world history …. There is none that disperses its controls more complexly through the voting system, the work situation, the church, the family, the school, the mass media—none more successful in mollifying opposition with reforms, isolating people from one another, creating patriotic loyalty. One percent of the nation owns a third of the wealth. The rest of the wealth is distributed in such a way as to turn those in the 99 percent against one another; small property owners against the propertyless, black against white, native-born against foreign-born, intellectuals and professionals against the uneducated and unskilled. These groups have resented one another and warred against one another with such vehemence and violence as to obscure their common position as sharers of leftovers in a very wealthy country." Wake up, Americans! "All citizens …have duties as well as rights." We, the governing body of this nation, must fulfill our duties as citizens in order to enjoy our rights. Wake up, Americans! It is up to us to lift our nation from the ashes heap in which it lies and to rebuild it into a constitutional republic governed "of the people, by the people, for the people." DO AMERICANS KNOW HOW TO BE FREE? We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are
created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable
rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. With
these lofty ideals in mind, a small group of North American colonies declared
their independence from Great Britain.
